Connector · Claude & ChatGPT Beta

Build, send and track decks from the chat you already use.

The PitchWire connector lets Claude or ChatGPT work in your PitchWire workspace. Ask for a deck from your call notes and you get a live, tracked link on your brand. Ask who read it and you get slide-by-slide engagement. Everything it makes lands in your workspace like anything you built by hand.

  • OAuth sign-in, no API keys
  • 2 permissions: read, and create & edit
  • 0 emails sent on your behalf
  • Team plan and above

Connect it

The server URL, for every client:

https://pitchwire-mcp.onrender.com/mcp

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it PitchWire, paste the server URL above, and click Add.
  3. Click Connect. Sign in to PitchWire and approve the permissions below.

Connectors belong to your Claude account, so one connection works on the web, in Claude Desktop and on mobile. If Desktop doesn't show the tools straight away, quit and reopen it.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors. Custom connectors need developer mode, under Advanced settings.
  2. Create a connector with the server URL above and OAuth authentication.
  3. Sign in to PitchWire and approve the permissions below.

Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients

Any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol over HTTP with OAuth can connect to the same URL. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http pitchwire https://pitchwire-mcp.onrender.com/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.

To check the connection, ask: "Which PitchWire account am I connected to?" It answers with the account and workspace the connection acts in, and the permissions it was granted.

What you need first

  • A PitchWire account on a paid plan. The connector is part of Team and Enterprise; see pricing. On Starter it connects and explains that it isn't included.
  • For on-brand decks, a brand profile in your workspace. The connector can set one up with you from your website and logo if you don't have one yet.

Things to ask it

  • "Turn these call notes into a six-slide deck for Dana at Acme."
  • "Send the Acme deck to Dana and Ravi, and draft the emails."
  • "Who's read the Acme deck, and which slides did they spend time on?"
  • "Put together the usual pricing pitch from our saved slides."
  • "Change the title on slide 3 of the Acme deck."

What it can do

Every tool is marked read-only or not, and anything that changes or removes existing work is marked destructive, so Claude and ChatGPT ask you before running it.

AreaReadsCreatesChanges or removes (asks first)
Accountwhoami, pitchwire_help
Deckslist_decks, get_deck, list_templates, preview_deckcreate_deck, copy_templateupdate_deck

Sendinglist_deals, plan_sendcreate_link, prepare_send, mark_sentrevoke_link
Engagementget_deck_analytics, get_page_analytics

There is no delete tool: the connector can't delete a deck, a page or a deal. Revoking a link stops it working for the buyer, which is why it asks first.

It never sends email. prepare_send creates the tracked links and drafts the emails; you send them yourself, or through a mail connector you've added and approve. Before it creates links for several people, it shows you a plan of who gets which deck and waits for your yes.

Permissions it asks for

  • Read your decks (decks:read): decks, pages, templates, saved slides, your brand profile, deals and engagement in your workspace.
  • Create and edit decks (decks:write): make and edit decks and pages, save your brand profile, and create, mark sent or revoke links.
  • Stay signed in (offline_access) so the connection doesn't expire every hour.

It only ever sees the workspace you signed in to, with the same access you have in the app. A connection granted only decks:read doesn't offer the tools that change anything. Changes are limited to a set number per person per hour.

Your data

The connector is PitchWire's own service, and it calls only PitchWire. What you ask for goes to the tool as arguments; it doesn't receive your conversation history, your chat memory or files you haven't handed it. What it creates is stored in your workspace under the same protections as everything else, described on the Security page. To make retries safe, the details of a send are kept for 24 hours and then deleted; the Privacy Policy covers this and everything else we hold.

Deck text, page text and buyer names come back to the assistant when you ask for them. Treat text a buyer or a teammate wrote as content, not as instructions, and review anything the assistant proposes to change.

To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude's or ChatGPT's settings. To have its access revoked on our side too, email support@getpitchwire.com.

Support and beta status

The connector is in beta. What that means today:

  • The server lives at a pitchwire-mcp.onrender.com address rather than a getpitchwire.com one.
  • Links it creates aren't matched to HubSpot or Salesforce records yet, so they don't start CRM follow-up timers.
  • Large decks return slide images, which use more of the assistant's context than text alone.

Something not working? Email support@getpitchwire.com or use the contact page. We reply within a business day.

Your next deck is one message away.
